What Tucson's weather means for bands
About 158 days a year reach 90°F in Tucson, so a light-colored tee belongs in the order for nearly every run through here, not just the summer one. No month averages a high under 65°F, but December nights fall to an average low of 41°F, so a small stack of hoodies covers late outdoor sets in winter. Tees lead the table for 9 months of the year, the months with average highs of 70°F and up, so put most of the order into them. Triple-digit heat arrives on about 68 days a year, so a daytime outdoor set calls for light colors, tanks and mesh-back caps, and the merch table itself belongs under a canopy. With only about 11 inches of rain a year, an outdoor merch table seldom needs rain cover, so pack a canopy for sun rather than a tarp for showers.
