Custom Merch for Nonprofits and Fundraisers
Merch Mob makes nonprofit merch: fundraising tees and hoodies supporters buy, volunteer and staff shirts, walk and run shirts with sponsor logos, and donor thank-you gifts. We screen print, embroider and DTG print, and can pick, pack and ship pre-order campaigns so you only produce what supporters ordered. Quotes come back within 24 hours.

What good looks like.
For a nonprofit, one shirt can raise money, recruit volunteers and spread the message. Supporters buy a fundraising tee because they believe in the cause, then wear it in front of people who have never heard of it. Volunteers in matching shirts look organized and are easy to direct at an event, and a well-made thank-you hoodie keeps a donor connected long after the gala.
Good nonprofit merch respects the budget without looking cheap, because a shirt that falls apart after a few washes reflects on the cause. The art carries the mission clearly and reads from a distance. Pre-order campaigns protect cash: supporters pay first, the run is sized to what sold, and nothing sits in a storage closet. Sponsor logos on the back of event shirts can help cover the cost of the run.
What nonprofits order, and why.
- 01
Fundraising tees and hoodies
Merch sold to supporters online or at events, with the margin going to the cause. A design people want to wear raises more than a logo on a plain shirt.
- 02
Volunteer shirts
A bright shirt for each event day so volunteers are easy to spot and direct, often one color for volunteers and another for staff or team leads.
- 03
Walk, run and ride shirts
Participant shirts for charity races and walks, typically with the event name on the front and sponsor logos grouped by tier on the back.
- 04
Awareness campaign merch
Shirts and caps tied to an awareness month or a campaign, in the cause's color, made to be worn in public so the message travels.
- 05
Donor and board gifts
An embroidered hoodie, quarter-zip or cap as a thank-you for major donors, board members or long-serving volunteers, presented at a gala or mailed with a note.
- 06
Staff and outreach apparel
Polos and jackets for staff at community outreach, clinics and events, embroidered so the organization looks consistent and professional in the field.
How we make it
Screen Printing
The economical method for volunteer and event runs, where many shirts share one design. Sponsor backs and dated designs go on as separate print locations in the same run.
MethodDTG Printing
No minimum, so a small chapter, a pilot fundraiser or a full-color photo design can be printed without screen setup or a large upfront order.
MethodEmbroidery
Donor gifts, board apparel and staff polos look lasting in thread, and digitizing is included, so a crest or seal is redrawn for thread, with fine detail simplified where it would not hold.
MethodFulfillment
For online fundraisers, we pick, pack and ship each supporter's order from our So Cal facility, so volunteers do not spend a weekend sorting sizes.
- 01
Soft cotton fundraising tees
A tee people will wear on weekends, in a color that suits the cause and flatters the art.
- 02
Bright volunteer tees
Saturated colors chosen to stand out at outdoor events and photograph well for the annual report and social posts.
- 03
Performance race shirts
Moisture-wicking polyester for runners and walkers. The fabric dye can tint a light print, so name the exact shirt and the spec review confirms the print method.
- 04
Fleece for donors and supporters
A quality hoodie or crewneck works as a thank-you gift or as a higher-priced fundraising item at a supporter level.
- 05
Caps and beanies
One-size items for awareness campaigns and supporter bundles, embroidered with the logo and no size form required.
- A fundraising run is often a pre-order, where supporters choose sizes and pay during a window, then production runs from the totals.
- Event shirts usually combine volunteer, participant and sponsor needs in one order, with each group in its own color.
- Organizations with recurring events tend to keep the logo and colors steady and change the year or theme on each run.
- Can supporters pre-order shirts so we do not buy extra stock?
- Can you put our sponsors on the back of the event shirt?
- What is the most affordable way to make volunteer shirts that still look good?
- Can you ship fundraiser orders straight to supporters?
- When should we order shirts for our walk?
When to order, by region.
- Desert Southwest. Walks, runs and outdoor fundraisers move to the cooler months, roughly October to April, and summer events go early morning or indoors. Lightweight, breathable shirts suit volunteers working outside here.
- California. Events run year-round, with spring and fall the busiest stretches for walks and runs. Year-end giving campaigns around Giving Tuesday are a natural moment for a supporter tee or hoodie.
- Texas and Oklahoma. Spring and fall are the comfortable seasons for charity runs and walks, and summer events need light performance shirts. A hoodie fits the Giving Tuesday and year-end appeal as a donor premium.
- Florida, the Gulf Coast and the Deep South. Heat and humidity push walks and volunteer days into spring and fall, and hurricane season can shift fall plans. Pick breathable shirts for volunteers and keep fleece for the short, mild winter.
- Upper South and Mid-Atlantic. Spring and fall walk seasons are busy, and year-end appeals from Giving Tuesday through December suit a donor gift. Volunteer shirts for summer events should be lightweight.
- Mountain West. Summer is the season for outdoor fundraisers, rides and trail runs, and fall cools fast, so pair event tees with a hoodie or beanie for supporters. Year-end appeals land in snow season, when fleece gifts get worn.
- Pacific Northwest. The dry summer holds most outdoor walks and runs, and the wet season moves events indoors. Hoodies and beanies make useful donor gifts for most of the year here.
- Midwest and Plains. Walks, runs and county-fair outreach fill the summer, and by October volunteers need long sleeves. Year-end giving arrives with winter, so a beanie or hoodie makes a thank-you that gets worn.
- Northeast. Spring and fall are the main seasons for charity walks and runs, and cold weather arrives early in autumn. Year-end campaigns from Giving Tuesday through December pair well with fleece and beanies as donor gifts.
- Hawaii. Outdoor events and beach cleanups run all year in warm weather, so light tees, tanks and caps suit volunteers. Allow extra time for shipping across the Pacific when a campaign has a fixed end date.
- Alaska. Most outdoor fundraisers happen in the short summer, and winter events need warm layers. Shipments north move slower than mainland ground, so build that time into any campaign with a deadline.

Merch for nonprofits: questions
How does a pre-order fundraiser work?
You set a design, a price and an order window, and supporters choose sizes and pay up front. When the window closes, the totals become the production order, so the run is sized to what supporters bought, as long as the totals meet the method's minimum. Finished orders can ship to each supporter individually or to you in bulk for handing out at an event. Short windows with a clear end date tend to work best.
What does nonprofit merch cost, and is there a minimum?
DTG has no minimum. For screen printing and embroidery, the minimum and price depend on quantity, the blank, ink colors, print locations such as a sponsor back, and finishing. The quote, back within 24 hours, lists each line item and a committed timeline, which makes it easy to set a fundraising price that leaves a margin for the cause.
Can you print sponsor logos on charity event shirts?
Yes. Sponsors usually go on the back as one print location, grouped by tier, and every logo adds detail to the separations, so collect vector files (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) early. File prep and spec review flag weak files, and the digital mockup gives sponsors something to approve.
Can you ship fundraiser orders to each supporter?
Yes. We pick, pack and ship Shopify and direct-to-consumer orders individually from our So Cal facility, with tracking, so your team does not have to sort and mail orders by hand. Bulk ship-out to your office or event works for volunteer and participant shirts.
When should we order shirts for a walk or run?
Work backwards from race day: shipping, production, then final sponsor logos and participant counts. Those last two usually decide the schedule, so set firm deadlines for them. The quote gives a committed production timeline within 24 hours, and a small cushion of extra sizes covers day-of registrations.
What makes a fundraising shirt sell?
A design supporters want to wear in public, not just a logo, on a soft, good-fitting blank, at a price that feels fair for the cause, with a clear deadline. Showing the shirt on real volunteers in photos helps. Offering one tee and one hoodie usually works better than a wide range that splits the orders.
