Custom Team Shirts, Jerseys and Fan Gear
Merch Mob makes custom team shirts and merch for clubs, leagues and teams: printed jerseys, practice tees, team hoodies and shorts, coach polos, and fan gear for families and supporters. We screen print, embroider, DTG print and cut-panel sublimate, then pack and ship to the team. Quotes come back within 24 hours with pricing and a committed timeline.

What good looks like.
A team order is several orders in one. Players need game kit that moves well and survives a season of washing, practice shirts that can take a beating, and warmups for the bench. Coaches want polos or quarter-zips that look like staff. Then there are parents, grandparents and fans, who will buy a hoodie or cap in team colors if someone gives them a way to order it. Each group has its own budget, size run and deadline.
Good team apparel gets the colors right, because a slightly wrong shade of the team color shows in every photo. It uses fabrics made for sweat, follows any league rules on numbers and logos, and arrives before the first game. Cut-panel sublimation handles any number of colors and patterns on tees, hoodies and shorts, while screen printing and embroidery cover jerseys, practice gear, coach apparel and fan merch.
What sports teams order, and why.
- 01
Printed jerseys
Mesh and performance jerseys printed with the team name and crest. Name the exact jersey style in the quote request, since the right print method depends on its fabric.
- 02
Practice shirts
Durable cotton or performance tees with a simple team logo, built to be washed after every practice and replaced each season without fuss.
- 03
Warmups and team hoodies
Hoodies, quarter-zips and jackets for the bench, cold sidelines and travel days, often with the club crest on the chest and the team name across the back.
- 04
Coach and staff apparel
Embroidered polos, jackets and caps so coaches look like staff on the sideline and at tournaments, in a color that sets them apart from players.
- 05
Fan and family gear
Tees, hoodies and caps in team colors for parents and supporters, often sold through a pre-order window so the team only orders what has been paid for.
- 06
Tournament and championship shirts
A dated shirt for a tournament, a playoff run or a title, ordered once the result is in, which makes the timeline in the quote matter more than usual.
How we make it
All-Over Print
Cut-panel sublimation suits team tees, hoodies and shorts: polyester fabric, any number of colors, and a print that becomes part of the fabric instead of a layer on top.
MethodScreen Printing
The economical choice for practice tees and fan shirts in team colors. Red or royal polyester dye can tint a white print, so name the exact blank and the spec review confirms what works.
MethodEmbroidery
Coach polos, jackets, caps and beanies get a stitched crest that looks official, with digitizing included and up to 15 thread colors for a detailed club badge.
MethodDTG Printing
No minimum, which suits a handful of extra shirts for late sign-ups, a one-off banquet design or full-color team photos on cotton tees.
- 01
Mesh and polyester jerseys
Light and breathable for game day, in open mesh or smooth performance knit, with room on the front and back for the team name and crest.
- 02
Performance practice tees
Moisture-wicking polyester for training that dries fast between sessions, usually in team colors with a simple logo on the chest.
- 03
Warmup hoodies and quarter-zips
Midweight fleece or performance fleece for the bench, with a chest crest and the team name on the back.
- 04
Coach polos
Piqué or performance polos with an embroidered crest, worn on the sideline, at tournaments and at the end-of-season banquet.
- 05
Caps and beanies
Team caps for spring and summer sports and beanies for cold sideline days, embroidered with the club crest or a puff logo.
- A team's season order is often jerseys for players, practice shirts, a team hoodie and coach polos, all sized from the roster.
- Fan gear usually runs as a separate pre-order window, so families pick sizes and pay before production starts.
- Clubs with several age groups often keep one design and adjust colors or sizes per team, with youth and adult sizes on the same order.
- Late roster additions tend to come in as small top-up orders after the main run.
- Can you match our exact team colors?
- Should our team shirts be sublimated or screen printed?
- What if a new player signs up after the order is made?
- Will everything be ready before the first game?
- How do we handle fan gear orders from parents?
When to order, by region.
- Desert Southwest. Season schedules here are built around the heat, with summer practices moved to early morning or evening. Breathable, lightweight kit matters most, and warmups are a short winter need for evening games.
- California. Mild weather lets youth and adult leagues run in every season, so team orders arrive in waves around each sign-up period rather than once a year. Coastal fields still call for a warmup hoodie at night.
- Texas and Oklahoma. Fall football and volleyball dominate from August, with spring baseball and softball after. Order fall kit in early summer, and plan breathable performance fabrics for August practices in the heat.
- Florida, the Gulf Coast and the Deep South. Fall football and spring baseball and softball anchor the calendar, with soccer running most of the year. Heat and humidity mean moisture-wicking practice gear for most months and fleece only for a short winter.
- Upper South and Mid-Atlantic. Fall sports start in August, basketball carries the winter, and spring brings baseball, softball and lacrosse. Order each season's kit as soon as rosters settle, before the sign-up rush.
- Mountain West. Cold autumn evenings make warmups and beanies part of fall-season orders, and winter brings hockey plus ski and snowboard teams. Spring sports often start in cold, even snowy, weather, so long sleeves stay on the list.
- Pacific Northwest. Soccer and rain go together here, so practice gear needs to dry fast and warmups get heavy use from fall through spring. The short, dry summer suits tournament tees and camps.
- Midwest and Plains. Hockey, basketball and wrestling carry the long winter, with fall football and spring baseball on either side. Warm fleece and beanies belong on most team orders between October and March.
- Northeast. Fall soccer and football, winter hockey and basketball, and spring lacrosse and baseball give the year three distinct ordering moments. Cold sidelines in October and November make warmups and beanies essential.
- Hawaii. Warm weather lets leagues run all year, with paddling, volleyball and football on top of soccer and baseball. Light, sun-friendly performance fabrics suit most kit, and fleece is rarely needed.
- Alaska. Hockey and cross-country skiing carry the long winter, so fleece, beanies and warm layers are part of most orders. Summer leagues are short, and freight north takes longer than mainland ground, so order early.

Merch for sports teams: questions
What is the difference between sublimated and screen printed team shirts?
Sublimation dyes the design into white or light polyester fabric, so any number of colors, gradients and patterns are no harder to print and never crack or peel. With cut-panel sublimation the panels are printed before sewing, so color runs to every seam. Screen printing lays ink on top of a finished garment, which suits simpler designs, mesh jerseys, cotton practice shirts and fan gear.
How much do custom team shirts cost, and is there a minimum?
DTG has no minimum. For sublimation, screen printing and embroidery, the minimum and price depend on the garment, quantity, colors, decoration locations and any finishing. Send the roster count and the art, and the quote comes back within 24 hours with each line item and a committed timeline.
Can you match our team colors exactly?
Send Pantone references for the team colors. Inks and thread can be matched to the nearest reference, while sublimated color depends on the fabric and printer profile, so a strike-off or test print is worth it for a new sublimated design. You approve a digital mockup before anything runs.
When should we order team apparel for the season?
As soon as the roster is settled. Timing depends on the decoration method, blank stock and quantity, and cut-panel pieces are sewn after printing, so they need more lead time than printed tees. The quote commits to a timeline within 24 hours, so plan it back from the first game, not the first practice.
Can we reorder for players who join mid-season?
The spec sheet records colors and placement, so a top-up for a new player can match the originals; whether a small top-up is practical depends on the method's minimum, which the quote states, and DTG has none. Fabrics and blank colors are occasionally discontinued, so for a kit you plan to use over several seasons, ask about stock before committing to a style.
How do we sell fan gear to parents and supporters?
Many teams run a short pre-order window, collect sizes and payment, then place one order from the totals. If you sell through a Shopify store, we can pick, pack and ship each supporter's order from our So Cal facility. Otherwise the run ships to the team in bulk, packed by order or size to your spec.
Do you embroider coach polos and team caps?
Yes. Polos, jackets, fleece, caps and beanies all take embroidery, digitizing is included, and a design can use up to 15 thread colors, enough for most club crests. A bold logo can also run in 3D puff on the front of a structured cap.
