Decorating it
| Method | What to know |
|---|---|
| Embroidery | The single front panel has no center seam, so lettering and logos can run straight across the middle. A high, hard-buckram front gives a large, stable embroidery field. |
| Embroidery | Tall structured fronts suit 3D puff. Bold shapes and thick satin columns rise cleanly; leave fine outlines and tiny text as flat stitching. |
| Screen Printing | A five-panel front with no center seam is the easiest trucker shape for printed transfers and patches, since artwork does not have to bridge a join. |
The 6006 is the classic trucker in Yupoong's YP Classics line, sold on Flexfit's website as the YP Classics classic trucker cap. Yupoong is the manufacturer behind Flexfit, which is why the cap is listed under both names. It is the tall, flat-billed, five-panel trucker shape that suits retro and streetwear looks, and it competes most often with the mid-profile Richardson 112.
Who the 6006 suits
Choose it for clothing brands, surf and skate shops, event and festival merch, and any design that wants a big, upright front. The tall crown reads more fashion-forward and vintage than a mid-profile cap, but it sits higher on the head, which not every wearer likes. Groups with mixed tastes often do better with a mid profile.
Construction, fabric and fit
Flexfit's spec block lists a high profile, a 4 inch crown, five panels, a flat bill and a snap closure. The front is structured with hard buckram, the undervisor matches the cap color, the bill carries eight rows of stitching, and the back panels are mesh. The maker also notes UV-certified fabric, with the coverage depending on the design.
The material is in transition. Flexfit lists 65/35 polyester/cotton, then notes that the fabric content has changed to 74/26 polyester/cotton and that mixed stock may ship for a period. For most decoration the difference is small, but if a large order must look identical across every cap, ask your supplier which version is in stock.
The color range on this page is short: six solids (Red, Navy, Pink, Black, White and Charcoal). Two-tone versions, such as Navy/White and Heather/Black, are a separate listing, 6006T on Flexfit's site, so check the full style code when you order a split color.
Decorating the 6006
Embroidery
A five-panel front is one wide panel with no seam down the middle. That is the main practical difference from a six-panel cap: text and logos can run straight across center without crossing a seam. The tall, hard-buckram front also gives a larger, steadier embroidery area. Cap embroidery still needs a file digitized for caps and sewn on a cap frame, and embroidery digitizing explains why.
3D puff
A tall structured front is the classic home for 3D puff embroidery. Use bold letters and wide satin stitch columns, and keep fine outlines as flat stitching beside the puff. 3D puff on hats vs garments covers height and shape limits.
Patches and transfers
With no center seam, the front takes patches and printed transfers easily. Woven, embroidered, leather-look and PVC patches all sit flat, and printed transfers can carry full-color art. The mesh panels behind the front are not suited to embroidery or most printing. Custom hat decoration compares the methods.
Sizing notes
The 6006 is one size with an adjustable snapback. Flexfit lists a fit range of 6 5/8 to 7 5/8 in fitted hat sizes, which covers most adults. Because the crown is tall, the cap can feel larger on smaller heads even when the strap is tightened; a youth or low-profile style may suit kids or very small heads better.
